Kent Morris, Chief Investment Officer for the City of San Diego, has over 24 years of professional experience in the areas of investments and treasury management. His responsibilities include managing the City Treasurer’s Investment Pool, which is currently valued at approximately $2.3 billion, and associated bond funds. As Chief Investment Officer, Kent is the primary interface with the City Treasurer’s Investment Advisory Committee and formulates the City’s investment strategy, credit review, and its annual Investment policy. In addition, he manages the City’s banking relationships and oversees the implementation of all new banking services, and is a primary business operation lead on the City’s annual PCI Compliance recertification. Kent holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree from the University of California, Davis, and a Master’s of Business Administration degree from California State University, San Diego.
